**Position title**: Maintenance Worker

**Supervisor**:Director of Environmental

**General Summary**:
The maintenance Worker is responsible for general upkeep and repair of the grounds, exterior of the building, interior of the building, equipment, and appliances. S/he is to complete required maintenance and repair him/herself or contract outside professional services and supervise such work.

**Education, Training, and Experience**:
The Maintenance Worker must demonstrate evidence of good moral character, good judgment, calm demeanor, willingness and ability to follow directions, sound organizational skills, and **experience **in general household maintenance.

**Physical Abilities**:
The Maintenance Worker must be able to: lift 25 or more pounds; climb stairs; bend, reach, and lift without risk of injury; safely use a step ladder and climb stairs; use general household cleaning chemicals, paints, stains, etc.; and withstand rigorous and sustained physical activity.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:
~Complete routine maintenance including; lawn and garden

Care, **snow **removal, trash removal, and recycling, assuring exits are clear at all times, changing **light **bulbs, paint and stain touch-ups (interior and exterior), and shampooing of carpets

~Complete other repairs/maintenance as necessary including but **not **limited to; furniture repair, minor plumbing repair, minor wall/ceiling repair, etc.

~Painting, wallpaper removal, and installation of wallpaper ~Scheduling and overseeing routine safety inspections (fire equipment, furnace cleaning, water testing for temperature, etc.)

~Notifying the Director of any unsafe or unsanitary conditions

~Responding efficiently to work orders from the Director and other staff

~Maintaining supplies in an orderly and safe area

~Maintain Resident **safety **and satisfaction

~Perform other duties assigned by the Director

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
