Teach Western Mass seeks a Communications and Development Manager to join our growing team. This position is based in the Springfield area of Western Massachusetts and begins in September 2024. Founded in 2016, TWM has been responsive to regional teacher-talent needs for close to a decade, creating and launching teacher recruitment, training, and support programs to meet the most acute challenges of the most-in-need local school districts. We fearlessly pursue educational equity by supporting and elevating BIPOC and antiracist educators who currently teach in Springfield and Holyoke schools. **What You’ll Do**

The Communications and Development Manager (CDM) manages specific, key aspects of the Communications and Development functions within the organization. Working in tandem with the Director of Development and Communications, the CDM will execute on TWM’s Communications strategy and support Development efforts. As a new role in the TWM Operations Department, this role will have the opportunity to further develop systems, structures, and expectations around organizational Communications and Development needs.

**Specific responsibilities may include**:

- Communications_
- guided by the strategic communications plan and accompanying implementation strategy, manage the alignment of TWM’s messaging framework and visual brand identity across external and internal communications to increase brand awareness and drive organizational Fundraising, Recruitment, and Advocacy objectives
- create both Spanish and English language recruitment materials (flyers, postcards, etc.) for the Residency program
- evolve TWM’s social media strategy under the direction of the Director of Development and Communications to increase engagement and impact
- create all social media content for the organization aligned with TWM’s messaging framework and execute day-to-day management of TWM’s social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook)
- develop internal processes to regularly gather Communications content from the Residency Department (Program) and its participants
- manage TWM’s Communications content calendar and internal mechanisms for submitting content requests
- manage TWM’s online presence as a charitable organization and employer through annual audits of sites/platforms such as Glassdoor, Google Business profile, etc, making recommendations to Department to improve TWM’s online presence
- maintain external relationships/contracts with appropriate Communications vendors/consultants
- responsible for annual audit of Communications policy and SOP, making recommendations to the Director of Development and Communications for revision or manual/policy creation.
- Development_
- manage TWM Grants Management database, serving as project manager for grants submission, compliance, and reporting under the direction of the Director of Development and Communications
- manage gift processing in TWM’s Fundraising software under the direction of the Director of Development and Communications
- conduct quarterly audit and update of contacts in TWM’s CRM
- manage quarterly fundraising data reporting from TWM’s Fundraising software
