**Postdoctoral Research Associate Position**
**in Quantum Optimization Algorithms**
**Position Description**
- Developing novel quantum algorithms for solving quantum-related optimization problems;
- Analyzing performance characteristics like complexity, approximation ratios, convergence;
- Implementing prototypes on quantum computing simulators and hardware;
- Disseminating research via top-tier publications and conferences.
**Requirements**:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related fields;
- Strong background in quantum computing, quantum algorithms, and/or optimization theory;
- Hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.) is well-appreciated;
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and coding abilities;
- Proven publication record in top venues;
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Background in adjacent areas like convex optimization, approximation algorithms, and complexity theory;
- Experience with quantum hardware, noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices;
- Machine learning and scientific computing backgrounds are a plus.
