**About Peraton**

**Responsibilities**

Peraton is seeking a full-time **Janitor** to join our team in our **Fort Irwin, CA **complex to support the Deep Space Network (DSN) Contract with NASA/JPL. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, such duties as required to ensure the facility is cleaned in accordance with prescribed standards.

The Deep Space Network is NASA's international array of giant radio antennas that supports interplanetary spacecraft missions, plus a few that orbit Earth. The DSN also provides radar and radio astronomy observations that improve our understanding of the solar system and the larger universe. The antennas of the Deep Space Network are the indispensable link to explorers venturing beyond the moon. They provide the crucial connection for commanding our spacecraft and receiving their never before seen images and scientific information on Earth, propelling our understanding of the universe, our solar system and ultimately, our place within it.

**Responsibilities**:

- Empty trash throughout the complex.
- Vacuum carpets.
- Steam clean and shampoo carpets.
- Wax floors, buff tiles and wash windows.
- Clean restrooms and other miscellaneous cleaning tasks.

**WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES**:

- Office/Warehouse environment
- Lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing stairs, walking
- Occasional shift work.
- Must be able to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold & humidity
- Interface with internal and external customers.
- Dusty, loud/high noise areas

**Qualifications**

**Required Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or GED required and 1+ years of experience is required in the janitorial field.
- A valid California driver's license (must possess and retain).

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to work as a team member or independently and be self-motivated
- The ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions and procedures without direct supervision.
