**Dosimetrist Position Summary**

The Dosimetrist assists the Physicists by their improvement in the treatment planning initiation process by implementing and coordinating treatment policies and procedures. Performs all duties associated with brachytherapy services and procedures under the supervision of the Chief Physicist.

**Dosimetrist Position Requirements**
- Graduation from an approved school
- Radiation Therapy, followed by on-the-job training in Dosimetry under the supervision of a Medical Physicist or a graduate of an AMA approved school of Medical Physics Dosimetry or a Bachelors Degree in Physics, with a minimum of one year experience as a Dosimetrist.
- Registry eligible or certified as a Medical Dosimetrist. Three years of experience as a Radiation Therapist is preferred.

**Dosimetrist Work Schedule**
- Remote
- Works primarily day shift hours.
- Work additional hours to meet needs.
- Expected to respond to any crisis, i.e., snow, hurricane, disaster, high census, etc.

**Dosimetrist Benefit**s**
- At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
