**What you will be doing**:
The Planning & Event Success Manager is responsible for developing and nurturing client relationships throughout the planning process. The Planning & Event Success Manager will guide and propose food, beverage and specialty rental selections, develop floor plans and detail timelines. This position is responsible for detailing and planning events from start to finish at Glen Manor House in Portsmouth, RI. This position works out of our administrative offices and travels to events as needed.

**What we are looking for**:
We are looking for people willing to embrace our core values and can bring the following to the team:

- 3 or more years of event management experience; preferably in off premise or venue catering
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail
- Superior organizational skills, presentation/public speaking skills
- Must be able to demonstrate effective selling strategies and techniques
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of our services and offerings as well as current food and beverage trends
- Excellent written and strong communication skills to understand and identify customer needs and communicate value
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for the duration of the shift
- Evening and weekend availability required

**Compensation**:
$70,000 - $90,000 annually - Base pay + commissions
