Veterinary Receptionist

**Job Summary**

Assisi Veterinary Hospital in Malverne, NY was founded in 2007 by Dr. Rick Guzman. We are a full service, state of the art facility offering high quality care for all of your pet's needs. With our fully licensed, caring and compassionate staff, we care for pets as if they were our own. We are currently seeking a full time veterinary receptionist for our busy practice. Must be able to do Saturday or Sunday 8 hour shift and 1 or 2 evenings till 9 PM.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Greet and communicate with customers in a friendly, welcoming and understanding manner
- Answer telephone calls, set appointments and check clients in for appointments
- Collect payments from customers, close out payment drawer in evening
- Prepare boarding information sheets for incoming pets with extended stays
- Assist management staff with tasks such as preparing mailings as needed
- **Qualifications and Skills**:

- Comfortable interacting with domestic pets
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of and experience with domestic pet ownership and care
- Experience as a Veterinary Receptionist is a plus, but we will train as well

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
