**Essential Functions**:

- **Log in all received samples** according to proper procedures, including labeling, logging, and acknowledging.
- **Maintain a clean and organized lab space**.
- **Prepare and analyze samples** under the direction of the Laboratory Manager.
- **Prepare reagents and various media for testing** as instructed.
- **Perform routine maintenance** of laboratory instruments and workspace.
- **Document work performed** according to established protocols and compile analysis data into lab reports.
- **Conduct specific analyses or portions of analyses** as directed by the Laboratory Manager.
- **Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and glassware**.
- **Report non-conformances** to the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) and Laboratory Manager.
- **Perform other job-related duties and projects** as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Associate degree or higher in a physical science preferred.
- Degrees in Chemistry, Biology, or Laboratory Science preferred.
- General familiarity with laboratory safety and previous laboratory experience preferred.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- **Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs**, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- **Excellent written and verbal communication skills** with internal customers and external vendors.
- **Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation**.
- **Professional behavior and appearance**.
- **Strong organizational skills and attention to detail**.
- **Ability to follow written or verbal instructions**.
- **Ability to prioritize and multi-task**, follow up on pending issues, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- **General knowledge of chemistry and lab analysis operations**.
