Independent Living Skills Instructor

Assist in oversight and support for individuals served in the ILS program. The role involves teaching adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible by developing, increasing, or maintaining skills. Responsibilities include assisting clients in various areas such as home and community safety, utilizing public transportation, shopping in the community, self-advocacy, independent recreation and participation, socialization, and interpersonal relationships.

Our **Independent Living Services (ILS) program** provides support for developmentally disabled adults, 18 years and older, who seek to maintain a self-sustaining, independent living environment in the community.

**Schedule & Location**:

- **Schedule #1**: Mon - Fri 2:00PM to 6:00PM; Saturdays 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (25hrs/week) **--**_**Location: Baldwin Park/El Monte**_
- **Schedule #2**:Mon 12:00PM - 5:00PM;Tues 3:00PM - 8:00PM; Wed 2:00PM - 7:00PM; Thurs & Fri 3:00PM - 8:00pm; Sat 11:00AM - 3:00PM (25 - 30 hrs/week) **---**_**Location: San Gabriel Valley vicinity**_

**Compensation**:

- $18.75 - $19.00/hour
- $1,000 Sign-On-Bonus paid in various increments throughout the first 12 months of employment. (*$150.00* payable upon completion of 3 months of employment, *250.00* payable upon completion of 6 months of employment, *250.00* payable upon completion of 9 months of employment, and *350.00* payable upon completion of 12 months of employment.).

**Requirements**:

- Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License with 3 years of verifiable driving history
- Must be willing to drive your own vehicle (Mileage reimbursement provided twice a month at the IRS approved rate).
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience assisting special needs individuals; 1 year preferred.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.75 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
