Management experience is required. Experience with branded hotel is preferred.

The General Manager we are seeking must strike a balance between customer satisfaction and effective business management ensuring financial viability and facilitates a smooth running service, while making sure the staff works together as a team.

The Hotel General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operation duties from day-to-day management of a hotel and its staff and has commercial accountability for planning, organizing and directing all hotel services, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, employee training, staffing, improving financial performance, operational and financial controls, ensuring optimal guest satisfaction scores and developing and retaining a strong management and hourly associate team.

Typical day-to-day activities:
Promoting and Marketing the Hotel
Recruiting, training and monitoring of staff
Dealing with customer complaints and comments
Addressing any problems that may arise
Supervising maintenance, supplies and furnishings
Carrying out inspections of property
Planning daily work schedules and monitoring payroll to stay within the budget
Achieving profit targets
Meeting and greeting customers on daily basis
Managing rates and inventory
Work smoothly with each Department: Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Maintenance
Completing daily occupancy and revenue reports
Perform necessary shifts if needed
Weekly meetings & monthly meetings attendance required

REQUIRMENTS:
Strong analytical and computer skills
Organized with details
Good verbal & written details
Responds to Sales Leads
Ability to work a flexible schedule as required, including weekends

The ability to be a great leader and motivate a team
A can-do, guest-pleasing attitude

Interact professionally with department heads, supervisors, guest, vendors & corporate & local employees

2 Years or more of Hotel Management experience required
