Lighting Layout Designer

***: To provide lighting & controls layout & design assistance to customers in an effort to attain specifications, generate sales, and sustain customer loyalty. The Electrical Lighting Design & Applications Specialist will work within the CLS Tech Support Team and create drawings and submittals for lighting layout and control systems. Primary tasks are performing lighting layouts from lighting electrical plans, generating submittals and shop drawings.

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:
**Education**: A 2-year Associates or vocational degree in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) or Lighting Science is preferred, but not required. Proficiency required in AutoCAD®, Adobe Acrobat Pro, AGi32, Blue Beam and Microsoft Office Tools

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**% of Time**

60% Prepare and layout of lighting and control designs for commercial lighting projects by thoroughly reviewing, analyzing and interpreting construction documents and other plans provided by the customer. Continuously discuss & clarify the project requirements directly with the customer and CLS sales personnel, make necessary changes to submittals so that they are consistent with the design intent of the specifier.
