**Safety Coordinator / Safety Specialist**

- The Safety Coordinator is essential to maintaining our safety first culture and furthering our employee health and safety programs. This position will responsible for maintaining, implementing, and monitoring Fischer’s safety programs. This role will conduct regular inspections and assessments to ensure that all occupational guidelines and regulations are adhered to. In addition, this role will provide training to employees on safety policies and practices.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Creating and maintaining safety procedures in the workplace, including emergency response plans and fire drills.
- Conducting investigations into employee incidents or safety concerns
- Developing and implementing new health and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with current and changing regulations.
- Providing solutions and intervention strategies for hygiene, health, and safety hazards.
- Monitoring operational processes and employee activities with regards to safety.
- Generating assessment documentation, incident and accident reports, and health and safety manuals for compliance with EHS programs and company initiatives.
- Reporting to management, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Preparing and submitting health and safety compliance documents to the relevant organizations (OSHA 300)
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment along with a Bachelor’s degree in safety management, occupational safety or similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- OSHA or similar EHS Certification
- Detailed knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and ANSI.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Acute attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong teamwork and collaborative abilities.
- Strong training abilities.
- Ability to flex work hours to support multiple shifts
