**ABOUT THE CRISIS CENTER OF CENTRAL NH (CCCNH)**:

Our mission is to serve survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking through empowerment, safety, and support; and to promote prevention through education in Merrimack County, NH. **PART-TIME DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE ADVOCATE**:
**Responsibilities Summary**:

- Work directly with survivors (confidentially) to provide support, assess needs, safety plan, and connect them to community resources.
- Make referrals to additional services and educate survivors on resources and options available to them.
- Provide in-person accompaniment for survivors to court, police, hospitals, and other community agencies.
- Answer CCCNH's 24-hour support line and office-hours webchat/text service.
- Assist staff at CCCNH's emergency shelter in providing services to survivors in that setting.
- Participate in required regular one-on-one supervision meetings, group trainings, group meetings, and occasional community events.

**Scheduling Details**:

- Hours per week: 20 - 24
- PT Franklin Advocate will eventually be based out of our Franklin office.
- Both positions require time in the office and in community.

**REQUIRED Qualifications**:

- Sensitivity to social/societal issues related to domestic and sexual violence (such as victim blaming, systemic racism, gender inequality, etc.).
- Must have a valid driver's license, positive driver record, and regular, individual access to an insured vehicle (proof of insurance required).
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check - with no record related to the agency's and job's services and responsibilities.
- Passion for serving survivors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Some education in a related field of study (such as social work, criminal justice, human services, etc.) OR at least 2 years' experience in social work or related human services.
- Proficiency with computer skills, including Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office and other productivity software, and general computer basics.

- Organization and task tracking/management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.

**Pay and Benefits**:
