Thawing Operator

**Job Title: Thawing Operator**

**Hours: Sunday thru Thursday - 4:00 am to E.O.S.**

**Salary: Starting $ 18.05 per hour + $ 2.00 Shift Differential**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Opening cases, dumping product on loader & to be loaded on trolleys for cabin plant. (50 lb cases)
- Push loaded trolley into cabin plant unload cabin when completed. (2 people process)
- Move trolley of thawed shrimp to unloader or 40o cooler for further processing. (2 people process)
- Place trolley on unloader and dump product into totes. (2 people process)
- Remove plastic and any other foreign material as needed.
- Place tag on totes explaining what run this is for, and add additional ice and water as needed.
- Banging blocks of shrimp to loosen ice away from boxes. (when needed)
- As needed help place soaks on products as directed.
- Take trash to dumpster, corrugated to bundler.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to count cases and sort accordingly.
- Able to work in a very wet environment.
- Stooping/bending and standing long hours on your feet.

**Must work closely with line supervisor on changeovers and amount of shrimp involved.**

Pay: $18.05 - $18.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
