Winthrop, United States To Make a Village Foundation Full time

Fundraising Consultant

**Overview**:
The To Make a Village Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Winthrop, Massachusetts. Our mission is to support people in Africa as the create early-stage villages near a business entity that provides jobs, to replace migration - internal within a country, or external to other continents - to find opportunities for both work and building a family. In the words of the leaders of Afiri, Cameroon, our first village, “People should be happy where they live.”

Our role is to raise money to award grants in response to proposals developed by the people in the villages we support. We offer assistance in planning and project management when requested, but we are careful to support our partners’ plans, not to impose any agenda upon them.

Our goals for 2024 and 2025 are to raise $600,000 so we have the capacity to make meaningful contributions to Afiri’s growth. In turn, they will provide a locally-led community development model we will bring to other villages in Cameroon, and ultimately to other countries. To date, we have raised $95,000 in cash and pledges.
