Houston, United States First Hospice Care Full time

Seeking Registered Nurse with strong **hospice leadership experience** who prioritizes operational efficiency and drives results by enhancing clinical outcomes and overseeing client care management within the hospice environment. They ensure compliance and high-quality care and documentation by leading the clinical team, reviewing, assessing, analyzing, and ensuring all clinical metrics for the branch are met.
- The primary function is for the overall administration of the clinical departments and monitoring of appropriate staffing and productivity
- Coordinates care with the interdisciplinary group, patient, family, and referring agency
- Monitors and analyzes QAPI issues and directs clinical staff about Hospice policies and procedures
- Directs and coordinates clinical departments; assumes responsibility for continuity, quality, and safety of services delivered in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Promotes the philosophy and administrative policies of the Hospice, to ensure quality of patient care
- Participates in activities relevant to professional services including development of qualifications and assignment of Hospice personnel
- Supervises and provides direction to subordinates, to ensure quality, compliance with the Plan of Care, assessment and reassessment of patients’ needs, and continuity of services by appropriate health care personnel
- Monitors the QAPI/Infection Control Program and assures appropriate corrective measures are performed
- Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or other third-party payors, through education, coaching, and other assistance as necessary
- Participates as a member of the Interdisciplinary Group/Team (IDG/IDT), assists in the development of the IDG plan, and participates in QAPI/Infection Control activities
- Monitors systems and identifies problem areas to the Administrator both verbally and through written reports
- Meets mandatory continuing education requirements of the Hospice and licensing board
- Promotes and educates regarding the concepts of infection control and standard precautions in coordinating and performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease

**Qualifications**
- Must have a minimum of 2-5 years of clinical leadership experience in the hospice services required.
- Knowledge of Medicare and hospice benefits, policies, and procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of hospice industry compliance requirements and HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations and accrediting bodies
- Proficient with Hospice WellSky EMR and Microsoft Office software required.
- Proficient in directing staff both clinical and clerical to achieve patient and agency outcomes

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
