Modest Community Services, a non-profit organization is urgently seeking to hire Direct Support Professionals in our Day Habilitation and Residential Programs. The DSP is responsible for implementing person-centered services for each individual. In addition, the Direct Support Professional is directly responsible for the individual's overall safety and well-being. Also actively looking to hire bi-lingual employees (Spanish speaking)

**Job Descriptions**:

- Work with individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities.
- Will help implement & document individualized goals while ensuring a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for individuals served.
- Maintain the physical plant and agency property in a clean and safe manner and communicate any issues to management.
- Comply with all OPWDD regulations and agency policies and procedures.
- Participate in all trainings and in-service trainings provided by the agency; SCIP, AMAP, CPR & First Aid, etc. and demonstrate competency in all required training areas.
- Perform or assist individuals with basic domestic duties such as cleaning, cooking and shopping.
- Coordinate and maintain individuals’ schedule as needed.
- Maintain records and complete paperwork as required by Modest and OPWDD.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum of High school or equivalent.
- Must be cleared and maintain acceptable record under the NYS Justice Center and OPWDD mandated criminal background check process.
- A clean and valid NYS driver’s license and needs to remain a qualified driver
- Good oral and written communication skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
