Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality dental care to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with patient assessments, performing various dental procedures, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations within the dental office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on post-operative care
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment
- Schedule appointments and handle dental receptionist duties as needed
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Follow proper aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient record management

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program
- Valid certification or license as a Dental Assistant (state-specific)
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Experience in taking and developing dental X-rays
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Dental assisting: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- X-Ray Certification (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Knoxville, TN 37918 (required)
