**JOB SUMMARY**

This is a technical position with individual responsibility for performing substantive procedural processes within the Bail Administration Office.

The assignments of this position consist of specialized and logístical work by being responsible for scheduling, approving, facilitating, and documenting all interpreter requests in accordance with Act 172 of 2006 at all Court of Common Pleas and Magisterial District Court locations.

This position works closely with all Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas Judges and Magisterial District Judges to ensure efficient and cost-effective use of interpreters to maintain full compliance with State and Federal legislature assigned to serving individuals seeking the services of the Court who lack English Proficiency.

Likewise, this position is responsible for specialized documentation and data collection essential to submit financial reimbursement for costs associated with the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas Language Access Plan.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

Education equivalent to completion of high school or GED, including and/or supplemented by course work in standard business practices or clerical legal training.

Four years of clerical experience in a professional legal or court office setting, which has included substantial involvement with cases or other materials under the Court of Common Pleas’ jurisdiction.

Any combination of education and experience which is an acceptable substitute for the knowledge, skills, and abilities cited above.

**REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/CLEARANCES**
