**Episcopal Church of the Advent is looking for a part-time Sexton to join our team.**

**Responsibilities**
- Perform general cleaning/sanitizing of the facility (including upper office wing, upper classroom wing, lower fellowship wing including the kitchen, lower preschool wing, and worship spaces)
- Preparing spaces for meetings (i.e. table/chair set-up and more)
- Scheduling the heat and air systems for the entirety of the church based on scheduled events, meetings, and daily office hours
- Check church schedule daily for added events that require set-up, additional cleaning, etc.
- Monitoring oil supplies for the heating system during colder months
- Monitoring and ordering of supplies needed for the church
- Contacting and monitoring contractors as needed
- Minor painting and minor repair maintanance as needed

**Desired Experience and Education**
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial department preferred
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling up to 25 pounds.
- Advent operates a preschool program as well as additional children/youth programming. Under PA law, the Sexton will be required to have State Police and FBI background checks, and be required to complete two online SafeChurch training programs totaling 5 hours.
