Registered Dietitian

**Wings Recovery** is seeking a part-time **Registered Dietitian** to join their program

This position will work within our Men's Programming.

This is a part-time 16-24 hours per week position.

**Position Summary**

The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing direct service to clients, providing individualized meal plans to clients and facilitating Nutrition Groups weekly. The Registered Dietitian collaborates as a member of the multidisciplinary team (Treatment Team) to deliver effective treatment.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities Direct Service**
- Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients
- Review dietary treatment plan goals with clients regularly
- Provide one-to-one nutrition sessions with clients
- Provide nutrition education group therapy weekly
- Meet weekly with clients
- Attend weekly treatment team meetings every Monday from 9a-10:30a
- Go to residential house for an hour each week and provide cooking skills to clients
- Provide information (verbally and in the communication log) to staff during shift transition
- Support team members when a crisis occurs
- Be aware of and eliminate stressors in the facility
- Provide documentation of all sessions and groups in a timely manner
- Inform Clinical Director of significant events in a timely manner
- Communicate accurate and timely information within guidelines
- Other Duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Attainment of at least 18 years of age.
- Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Nutritional Sciences (or equivalent) and
- Experience: Requirement of being a Registered Dietitian with one year full-time experience working directly with clients in a program serving people with mental illness and eating disorders
- Knowledge: Knowledge of and belief in the principles of client centered treatment. Knowledge of medications and interventions preferred
- Special Skills: Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player. Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Other Requirements: Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance. Hiring is contingent upon receiving DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance or an exemption, a submission of a signed Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508), a TB test, and clearance on an employment physical. Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred prior to employment.
