**Overview**

For over 50 Years, Laurel Hill Summer Camp has been regarded as one of the best summer camps in Suffolk County, Long Island. The camp is designed for children from Preschool through 10th grade, providing them with a platform to explore new skills and interests during the summer.

Our camp offers various programs such as sports, arts and crafts, drama, music, gymnastics, karate, swimming, nature exploration, games, gardening, computers, swing shot, rock climbing, and tennis. This wide-ranging program aims to cater to different interests and encourages active, engaged learning in a fun, safe environment.

We look for Camp Team Members who are enthusiastic and motivated, possess a genuine love of teaching and coaching children and teens, and are eager to work hard and play hard.

Laurel Hill Summer Camp seeks energetic and dedicated Camp Counselors, Junior Camp Counselors, and Group Leaders to facilitate a fun and safe summer experience for children from Pre-School through Middle School.

This position is perfect for individuals passionate about working with children and creating memorable summer experiences.

**Position**

Camp Counselors will lead activities, ensure camper safety, and foster a supportive and enjoyable camp environment.

Group Leaders must have completed **at least 3 years** of college

Counselors must have completed **at least 1 year** of college

Junior Counselors must be entering **11th or 12th Grade** (High School)

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise campers and ensure their safety at all times.
- Lead and participate in a variety of camp activities such as games, sports, crafts, and educational sessions.
- Encourage positive camper behavior and handle any disciplinary issues.
- Assist in the planning and execution of special events and activities.
- Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a positive and inclusive camp environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding camper experiences and concerns.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with children in a supervisory or mentoring role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for outdoor activities and child development.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
