**Overview**:
An Instrumentation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation and electrical systems in industrial settings. This role involves working with various types of instruments, control systems, and electrical equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of industrial processes and machinery.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Installation and Calibration**:

- Install, calibrate, and commission instrumentation devices such as sensors, transmitters, controllers, and meters.
- Mount and wire instruments according to engineering drawings, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
- Configure and program control systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and DCS (Distributed Control Systems).
- **Maintenance and Repair**:

- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to inspect, test, and clean instrumentation and electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instruments, control systems, and electrical circuits using appropriate testing and diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as sensors, switches, relays, and wiring, to restore equipment functionality.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards in the workplace.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and other safety precautions when working on electrical systems and equipment.
- Identify and report safety hazards or concerns, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and calibration procedures.
- Document equipment modifications, upgrades, and replacements, including parts used and work performed.
- Provide reports and updates to supervisors or management as required.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Coordinate with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and operators to prioritize work orders and resolve equipment issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.
- Provide training and guidance to less experienced technicians on instrumentation and electrical procedures and best practices.

**Requirements**:

- Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation principles, electrical circuits, and control systems.
- Experience working with instrumentation devices, control valves, transmitters, PLCs, and DCS systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures related to electrical and instrumentation work.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing maintenance and calibration tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects and equipment.
- Stamina to work long hours and perform physically demanding tasks.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $46.00 - $50.00 per hour
