**This vacancy is for our Placerville Jail site** The El Dorado County Office of Education is looking for a talented individual or individuals to join our Charter Adult Education Team If you are interested in working with the justice involved population and you like to make a difference, then this opportunity may be for you EDCOE’s goals with the justice involved population are to decrease recidivism, create new opportunities to change life trajectory, decrease the involvement with the criminal justice system, and help build infrastructure at the community level to promote long-term safety and opportunity in El Dorado County.

The position consists of two parts:
2) As an Adult Education Teacher, this teacher will assist inmates toward their educational goals including but not limited to: earning high school diploma, preparing for the equivalency exam, accessing software-based educational programs that boost basic skills, provide introductory CTE courses, re-entry series programs, ESL program, career exploration, and a variety of other educational options.

Pay: $70,610.00 per year
