The Rapid Response Spokesperson will be a critical member of the Rapid Response team, focusing particularly on drafting sharp, compelling messaging that will resonate in a fragmented media environment. Under the direction of the Senior Advisor for Communications, the rapid response team’s mission is to prosecute the case against Donald Trump by driving strategic contrast messaging through rapid response, opposition research pitches, and bracketing communications plans. The Rapid Response Spokesperson reports to the Rapid Response Advisor and Spokesperson.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- As a member of the campaign rapid response team, help develop materials and execute on strategic communication imperatives - with a particular emphasis on written communication;
- Draft materials for internal and external use such as memos, press releases, statements, fact check documents, reporter notes, ICYMIs and other products;
- Act as a spokesperson for the campaign on both incoming and proactive opportunities, working closely with senior rapid response team members and Senior Advisor for Communications;
- Work closely with campaign digital rapid response to ensuring the comms team is supporting and complimenting the digital team’s efforts while maintaining message consistency.

**Preferred Skills & Qualifications**:

- 3-5 years minimum of experience in communications or similar field;
- A uniquely strong ability and affection for writing pointed, funny, creative and hard-hitting paper products that are rooted and driven by excellent research;
- A team player with the willingness to manage and lead the communications team to successfully execute on multiple initiatives;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, creativity, and strong attention to detail;
- Motivated, self-starter able to work independently as well as collaboratively with the Communications team and all campaign staff to help execute strategic communications plan;
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines, as well as creatively solve problems;
- Excellent time management skills; and, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
