**Duties**:

- Monitors costs associated with budget execution, makes recommendations for redistribution of funds, establishment of additional controls, etc., based on budgetary considerations.
- Reviews all funding documents received providing funds to support MEDCoE functions. Entrusted with certifying fund availability for MEDCoE funds.
- Performs routine budget administration functions in the formulation, execution, and review of assigned portions of the appropriated fund budget for Defense Health Program (DHP) and Operation and Maintenance Army (OMA) funds.
- Compiles, reviews, and analyzes budget data submitted by reporting offices in order to formulate the MEDCoE budget.

- Must obtain and maintain a Financial Management Level 2 certification within a required time of employment.

**Who May Apply: US Citizens**Specialized Experience**: One year of specialized experience which includes performing routine budget administration functions in the formulation, execution and review of appropriated funds budget; utilizing budgetary automated systems such as, General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Defense Travel System (DTS), and Funds Control Management (FCM); reviewing accounting reports to monitor and tracking obligations throughout the entire year; formulating periodic cost and performance reports; preparing historical reports, monthly status of funds and various other financial reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/ level position in the federal service (GS-07).

- **Education**: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Budgeting and Accounting.
- OR
- **Combination of Education and Experience**: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.**Education**:
