**ARE YOU THE LATHE OPERATOR WE'RE LOOKING FOR?**:
To thrive as a Full Time Lathe Operator at Commercial Tool Group in Comstock Park, MI, you need a unique set of skills to excel in this exciting role. Your ability to work independently, maintain excellent attendance, and uphold a clean work area is crucial in ensuring seamless operations. A strong grasp of shop math and proficiency in reading blueprints, understanding metal properties, layouts, mechanics, and machining procedures are essential for producing precise components.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

- Ability to work independently
- Must have a working competency of shop math
- Must be skilled at reading blue prints
- Able to evaluate blueprints, drawings, sample parts, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations to fabricate parts.
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machining or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
- Strong understanding of metal properties
- Skilled with laying out and verifying dimensions of parts, using precision measuring equipment
- Set-up and operate milling machines and lathes
