**SCOPE OF POSITION**:
Reporting directly to the respective Store Director (SD) is responsible for each stores Liquor department operations and assigned personnel. Provides day-to-day coordination/direction over departmental personnel. Assists in direct performance of duties and responsibilities of liquor Personnel on a day-to-day basis.

**BASIC FUNCTION**:Effectively and efficiently manages Liquor operations to achieve established sales, marketing and profit goals. Promotes and maintains positive customer and employee relations.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Responsible for all department product purchasing, receiving and invoice reconciliation, inventory, and product pricing which includes making product pricing and displays signs.
- Able to work effectively with vendors to ensure cost effective purchase of department products, timely delivery and inventory.
- Receive, store, stock and face department products in an efficient manner.
- Able to write weekly work schedules to ensure all assigned shifts are properly staffed.
- Able to provide coordination, delegation and follow up of department personnel to ensure maximum and efficient performance. Audits performance and takes appropriate/timely corrective action as required.
- Monitors protection of assigned company assets to ensure they are secured or locked when unattended or not in use.
- Promotes and maintains compliance to store and department policies, procedures and processes for products purchased/scanned through the liquor department.
- Monitors department personnels appearance to ensure that they present a neat, well-groomed appearance and wear appropriate store attire and nametag.
- Maintain effective housekeeping.
- Maintain department records, files, accounts and databases in areas of responsibility as required. Ensures security and confidentiality of assigned company records, financial records, databases, files, etc.
- Provides direction, motivation, coordination, support, training/cross training, development, and follow-up of assigned personnel.
- Responsible for timely performance/development evaluation for assigned personnel.
- Works in unison with all management team to achieve store objectives. Attends required management meetings.
- Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, positive, team oriented, customer-focused attitude within internal store personnel and between all store locations. Leads by example.
- Keeps Store Director aware of concerns, issues, etc. warranting their attention, knowledge of, action and/or resolution in a timely manner.
- Able to meet and maintain expected performance level for the essential job functions required in this position.

**Position Specific Requirements**:

- Sound working knowledge of Liquor Department Operations, practices and procedures desired.
- Able to establish and maintain positive vendor relations.
- Strong purchasing skills with excellent negotiation, cost-effective purchasing and utilization of vendor marketing and incentives.
- Able to perform math skills necessary to deal with basic purchasing, pricing and related responsibilities of department. This includes invoice reconciliation, counting money, setting up and closing registers, refunds, and doing department books.
- Able to effectively and efficiently provide direction, coordination, day-to-day follow-up, training and development and performance evaluation of department personnel.
