Surgery Scheduler

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Greets patients in-person and over the phone in a professional, courteous manner
- Assists patients with in-take forms and provides information necessary to pay all medical charges
- Obtains all insurance verifications and any pre-authorizations needed prior to the procedure
- Works in coordination with surgeons' offices to schedule procedures, in accordance with established guidelines and timelines
- Utilizes the surgery center's software (training provided) to ensure surgeries are properly scheduled and all necessary information is included in patients' files
- Maintains the confidentiality, security, and condition of patient records
- Be the main liaison for all departments to view a correct/current surgical schedule at all times
- Accurately follow all verbal and/or written directives from the Office Manager

**Qualifications**:

- Must have completed high school or equivalent
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to complete
- 2 years of experience, and a demonstrated knowledge surgery scheduling and insurance verification preferred
- Prior experience with MS Office Suite and other healthcare software

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
