**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description._
- Provides a safe and fun environment in which both children and their parents feel comfortable.
- Assist with daily operations such as, opening and closing the program area, and checking in and out children via the established child watch safety protocol.
- Guides and counsel’s facility patrons and program participants on park, facility, program rules, care of equipment, and acceptable conduct in a helpful and positive manner.
- Communicate with the parents/guardians of program participants when there is a need.
- Answering the child watch telephone, and radio calls.
- Completes and reports accidents or injuries forms occurring in the assigned area.
- Communicate with the lead and supervisor concerning supplies and program materials needed.
- Develop positive relationships with customers.
- Provides routine information on facility rules and division activities to participants and the general public.
- Assist with daily housekeeping duties.
- Other duties as assigned

**MINIMUM ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education and Experience**
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age or older
- Six (6) months experience working in the care of children.
- Position requires working flexible hours and availability for weekend, evening and holiday work.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and First Aid Course; certification.
- American Red Cross Babysitting Certificate desired.
- Previous Public Sector Experience.
- Bilingual skills a plus.
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card a plus.

- Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job, may be substituted for _Preferred Qualifications _at the discretion of the hiring authority.

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
