Join Our Team as a Behavior Interventionist at The Lingual Tree for 24/25 School Year

The Behavior Interventionist will play a vital role in providing targeted behavioral support to students within our school community. Working collaboratively with educators, administrators, and support staff, the Behavior Interventionist will implement evidence-based interventions to promote positive behavior, facilitate academic success, and foster social-emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide direct behavioral support to students with diverse needs, including but not limited to developmental disabilities, emotional disturbances, and behavioral disorders.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on comprehensive assessments and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Utilize proactive strategies and positive behavior reinforcement techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote the development of appropriate social skills.
- Monitor and track student progress through ongoing data collection and analysis, adjusting interventions as needed to maximize effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school psychologists, special education professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting student success.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and other collaborative efforts to enhance understanding of best practices in behavior intervention and promote a positive school climate.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, counseling, or related field required preferred. Or a High School diploma with relevant work experience.
- Related experience working with children and adolescents in educational or clinical settings, particularly those with behavioral challenges or special needs.
- Strong understanding of behavior management principles, applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques, and evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and a genuine passion for supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.
