Diesel Technician

**DIESEL TECHNICIAN**

**Description**

**We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Kearny, NJ.**
- In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:_
- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools.
- In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:_

**(Intermediate)**:

- Completes complex internal engine repairs.
- Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision.

**(Advanced)**:

- Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
- Larger more complicated engine rebuilds.
- Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.

**Education, Licenses, Certifications**

Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (preferred)

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Locally valid driving permit (preferred)

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

**Experience**

Minimal level of work shop experience required

Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
- **This position does not require any Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screenings**

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
