Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Document all safety concerns as well as the daily functioning of residents in order to support a trauma informed environment.
- Responds to all emergencies in accordance with established procedures and follows up with timely documentation.
- Create and participate in running psycho-educational groups with the residential community.
- Maintains resident and staff confidentiality.
- Enhances the safety and welfare of residents and staff by conducting room checks, inspecting bags if necessary, and asking for I.D. from outside visitors.
- Completes all PEHT reporting and the gathering of statistical information as required and entering into data system. Reports all information to LRA after each shift in shift log/any necessary incident reports.
- Effectively communicates with house management and case manager significant events or incidents during previous shift along with informing of any special arrangements that have been posted.
- Maintain and uphold the principles and commitments of The Sanctuary Model for trauma-informed care.
- Support LRA and residents with goals such as obtaining benefits and vital records; supporting with appointments and various case management needs.
- Support residents in developing and maintaining individual safety plans in order to support with their emotional, physical, and psychological safety. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor. Maintain healthy boundaries, uphold the code of conduct of PEHT at all times.
- Support resident choice and autonomy in their housing environment and provide opportunities for voluntary engagement.
- Support in orienting residents into the PEHT home.
- Develop, plan, and implement/lead trauma-informed groups that are based around the Sanctuary model for trauma-informed care, life skills, spirituality, and expressive arts groups that support residents in their emotional and psychological healing.
- Develop a monthly calendar of activities with the LRA for the PEHT home residents to engage in and facilitate onsite and offsite activities.
- Collaborate with the LRA and PEHT team in the PEHT Vocational training program for residents and a justice enterprise based off the Thistle Farms model.
- Participate in an on-call rotation with PEHT team to support the PEHT home residents during non-business hours.
- Collaborate with the LRA and Director of Housing to develop marketing material and collateral material for the PEHT program for public-facing media platforms.
- Performs related duties as assigned

**Experience**:

- BA or BS degree in human services or social sciences or high school diploma or GED degree required with a combination of 2-3 years of higher education and experience working with survivors of sexual violence, trafficking, IPV, or related field.
- Experience with trauma informed care models.
- Must have an understanding of the issue of Domestic Human Trafficking and /or lived experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel from site to site as may be needed in the performance of duties.
- Professional-level communications skills verbal and written.
- Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Partnership to End Human Trafficking.
- Meets the Connecticut Child Abuse Register screening requirements: Clearance, Connecticut State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week

- Caregiving: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:
