**Job Overview**:
Come help us lead The Grazing Room team We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our growing management team. We are currently looking for a **Retail/Café Operations Manager** for our new charcuterie store and cafe, located in Bel Air, MD.

The Operation Manager's responsibilities include but are not limited to such functions as: scheduling, hiring, training, inventory control, achieving sales targets and ensuring a positive team atmosphere is maintained at all times.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Supervise and lead a team of employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment, fostering teamwork, motivation, and employee development.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, implementing strategies to achieve sales goals and increase profitability.
- Maintain inventory levels, including ordering and replenishing merchandise, conducting regular inventory counts, and managing stock levels effectively.
- Ensure the store is visually appealing and properly merchandised to attract customers and drive sales.
- Provide exceptional customer service by resolving customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively.
- Oversee all customer bookings from start to finish to include preparing and sending invoices for catering and event services and entering all orders and events into calendar.
- Answer all customer/potential customer questions regarding our catering and event services, make recommendations based on client’s desired vision and budget.
- Monitor and enforce store policies, including cash handling procedures, loss prevention measures, and safety protocols.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Plan and coordinate the public event schedule for each month including on-site and off-site events, collaborative and solo.
- Create event flyers and promotional materials, post events to Eventbrite platform, website, Facebook and social media.
- Design promotional print materials, menus, signs, and other marketing materials.
- Design and execute social media campaigns, increase company social media presence and following by posting on feed and stories, creating reels, and engaging with other accounts.
- Generate reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators to assess store performance and make informed decisions.

- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail software.
- Analytical skills to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic retail/café environment.

**Required Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, including sales, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
