Our chiropractic office is seeking a Medical Biller for 20 hours a week who is a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team.

The ideal Medical Biller is someone who is interested in a long-term commitment to our practice, able to work independently, reliable, organized and friendly.

**Responsibilities**:

- Post daily charges and payments
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Generate monthly statements
- Follow up with outstanding balances, unpaid claims, and appeal denied claims as necessary
- Work with patients to answer billing questions
- Maintain patient billing records and update information as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation for claims
- Maintain filing and pulling charts
- Light cleaning duties
- Other duties may be added to the responsibilities

Qualifications:

- Some experience in medical terminology, medical billing, coding, and collections
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and insurance companies
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Have the ability to navigate and use healthcare billing software quickly and efficiently

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

- High school or equivalent (required)
