**JOB TITLE**: Yoga Instructor

**Location**: Multiple Apartment Communities & The Woodland Hills Country Club in Woodland Hills.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Yoga Instructor to join our team. As a Yoga Instructor, you will lead yoga classes that inspire and empower individuals to enhance their physical and mental well-being. You will create a supportive and inclusive environment where students can explore the practice of yoga, develop their skills, and deepen their understanding of yoga philosophy and principles.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Plan and teach a variety of yoga classes, including Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, and/or other styles, catering to students of all levels and abilities.
- Required to arrive a minimum of 10 minutes before your class start time.
- The class equipment is to be set up and ready for use at the start of class.
- If applicable, use the NRG Health & Fitness Mobile App accurately and efficiently to record class attendance and add clients into class.
- If applicable, clients are required to register for class via the NRG Health & Fitness Mobile App in order to take part in the class. As the instructor, it is your responsibility to enforce this policy and confirm that all participants have properly registered for the class through the app.
- During scheduled classes, instructors are permitted to utilize the fitness amenities’ equipment. However, it is important to note that all equipment must remain within the facility and cannot be used for personal purposes.
- In case the facility lacks a sound system, instructors are required to bring their own music device if music is a necessary component of the class.
- After each class, it is imperative that all equipment is returned to its proper location and properly sanitized. You are also expected to assist in maintaining a clean and organized studio/fitness area, and to promptly report any broken or damaged equipment to NRG management.
- Usage of NRG Clients_' _fitness amenities are limited to scheduled classes and are not permitted for personal use outside of these designated times.
- Provide constructive feedback on classes, share suggestions for improvement, and bring any questions or concerns to the attention of management when necessary.
- You must wear appropriate athletic attire when acting as an NRG Instructor.
- You are required to accurately track your working hours by clocking in and out using the ADP Mobile App, and to keep your timecard up to date in ADP.
- You will be required to commute to different work locations to teach your assigned classes.
- As the instructor, it is your responsibility to secure a substitute for any of your assigned classes that you are unable to teach. Unless there is an emergency, you are expected to find a suitable replacement, and inform management at least 72 hours in advance. Repeated failure to secure a substitute for your classes may result in your removal from those assignments.
- Adhere to the operating procedures and policies specific to each customer. Depending on the customer, different SOPs may be required, and as an employee, it's our responsibility to do our best to fulfill them.
- You are expected to teach your assigned classes on a consistent basis. If a substitute is needed, one request is allowed every two months. Excessive substitute requests may result in class reassignment or removal.

**Requirements for the Job**:

- Certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) from a Yoga Alliance accredited program.
- Previous experience teaching yoga classes to individuals or groups, with a strong understanding of yoga anatomy, philosophy, and teaching methodologies.
- Possess a current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
- 2+ years teaching the specific format you will be assigned to teach.

**Key Competencies**:

- Ability to be professional and motivate class participants.
- Ability to cooperate and work well with other staff members.
- Knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies and the incorporation of music, tempo, cueing technique, and rhythm.

**Physical Requirements**:

- The employee must have a high degree of energy, be physically fit, and have the endurance to complete the workout.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more, and occasionally must aide or assist participants. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
