**Job Summary**
**Assistant Teacher**
Saint Paul Early Education, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and dedicated full or part-time Assistant Teacher for our new center located in Danvers, MA. This is a year round position.
**As a Member of our Team You Will**:
- Set up snacks
- Assist teachers in classrooms as needed (curriculum planning, etc)
- Put away and organize supplies
- Clean up after snack and activities
- Assist children in bathroom
- Change Diapers
- Support children in self-help skills
- Create and implement simple fun theme related craft/activity
- Take down and set up hallway boards
- There are a variety of tasks to attend to on a rotating basis as we
**Physical Requirements**
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Must be able to sit on the floor with students
- Must be able to stand for up to 90% of the day
- Be able to work Monday through Friday (7:30am - 5:00 pm)

**Qualifications & Required Skills and Experience**

- Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happens.
- Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire
- Must meet state specific guidelines for the role
- Change diapers and help children in self-help skills.
- Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- EEC Assistant Teacher Certification
- STEM related curriculum planning or willingness to learn desired
- Ability to pass a CORI, DCF and/or SORI check as required by licensing regulations
- Participates in yearly professional development
**Required Experience**
- Teaching: 1-2 years in related field
**Required License or Certification**
- Department of Early Education and Care Assistant Teacher certification
