**Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit.
- Perform patient assessments and develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with procedures such as catheterization and IV insertion.
- Utilize EMR and EHR systems to accurately document patient information and care provided.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Assist with deliveries and provide support to mothers and newborns during the labor process.
- Educate patients and their families on postpartum care and newborn care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Stay current with best practices in labor and delivery nursing and participate in ongoing education and training.
- Demonstrate proficiency in ACLS, NRP, and BLS protocols to ensure the highest level of patient safety and care.
