As a Public Health Program Director, you perform highly responsible professional and administrative work at the division level. This includes designing, implementing, coordinating, directing, and evaluating a statewide nutrition education, food, prescription, and food distribution program. You ensure quality assurance, program integrity, fraud identification, and mitigation, as well as staff and provider training and proficiency testing. **DESCRIPTION OF WORK**:
Duties include directing, supervising, and evaluating the following:

- Nutrition education, food prescription, and retail store authorization policy, procedure and guidance development, implementation, and operationalization
- Bureau contract development activities
- Timely development, submission, and progress reporting of grant proposals
- Monitoring of all bureau contractual agreement service terms
- Analysis of annual contract performance
- Complaint, fraud, and compliance buy investigation activities and
- Statewide training and proficiency testing for state and local agency personnel, as well as retail stores

You are responsible for directing the operation of the bureau training unit to establish and maintain provider competency in the execution of duties associated with the operation of a local agency clinic, as well as general program management and administration. You also oversee the development and evaluation of proficiency criteria to be achieved by training attendees during participation in training activities.
Additional tasks include monitoring and/or supervising staff who manage WIC audits statewide or in a region of the state to assure compliance with regulatory requirements including performance, income standards, eligibility determinations, civil right compliance, participant complaint handling, disaster planning, voter registration, immunization screening, confidentiality and program abuse, and substance abuse education.

**Work Schedule and Additional Information**:

- Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- ** Telework**:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY**:

**Minimum Experience and Training Requirements**:

- Eight years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health or health related services, which includes two years of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; **or**:

- One year as a Public Health Program Manager; **or**:

- Two years as a Public Health Program Administrator; **or**:

- A bachelor's degree and four years of professional public health, health, allied health sciences, drug and alcohol or related experience; which includes two years of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience, which includes two years of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; **or**:

- A bachelor's degree and four years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services, which includes two years of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; **or**:

- An associate's degree in allied health sciences or nursing and six years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services, which includes two years of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; **or**:

- A master's degree in public health, health services administration, health care administration, health education, public health administration, public administration, nursing, epidemiology, social work, nutrition, hospital administration, physical therapy, occupational therapy, business administration, or education and three years o
