**Family Nurse Practitioner Opportunity**

Recovery Centers of America at Danvers is currently seeking a **full-time, 32 hour/week** Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team This role will be **entirely on site, Sunday - Wednesday. The schedule is flexible between the hours of 7AM - 7PM.**

**As a Family NP, you will**
- Assess, examine, diagnose and treat patients with mental illness by conducting a comprehensive family assessment
- Collect data from multiple sources using assessment techniques that are appropriate to the patient's language, culture, and developmental state, including screening evaluations, psychiatric rating scales, genograms and other standardized instruments
- Assess the impact of acute and/or chronic illness, psychiatric disorders, and stressors on the family system
- Involve patients, significant others, and interdisciplinary team members in data collection and analysis
- Teach patients' families about the patient's condition, and how to react in certain scenarios
- Develop a plan of care and prescribe medication

**Education and Experience**:

- Master's Degree in Nursing, current state license.
- State Registered Nurse Practitioner required
- 5-7+ years of nursing experience required.
- 5 + years experience in substance use disorders strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical health care diagnoses and terminology, detoxification procedures, the diseases of addiction and substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, DSM Criteria and terminology.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in both positive and negative situations, has good listening skills, asks for clarification appropriately, responds well to questions, accepts direction and feedback and appropriately participates in meetings.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- A former patient may not be hired at the same location where they were treated until a minimum of one year has elapsed since the completion of their treatment at that location. Former patients may be considered for employment at locations within RCA other than where they were treated within a year after treatment.
