This is an exciting opportunity to join the Virginia Operations Team at UtiliQuest, LLC as a **Field Supervisor.** UtiliQuest, LLC has been a leading provider of quality underground utility damage prevention for over three decades. **The Day-to-Day**
- Builds and supervises a team of Damage Prevention Technicians who are driven and understand the key performance indicators and economic engines of the business.
- Promotes and maintains a strong safety culture for all employees.
- Conduct daily and weekly planning meetings to ensure quality control is in place.
- Conduct audits on field personnel to ensure quality standards are being met.
- Conducts performance reviews and provides regular performance feedback and development opportunities for technicians
- Create and maintain good working relationships with clients, excavators, regulators, employees, and the public
- Assist Center Manager in identifying strengths and weaknesses of Damage Prevention Technicians.
- Assist Technicians with locating difficult to find utilities.
- Collaborate with the HR and Talent Acquisition Team to identify staffing needs, interview and make final hiring decisions.
- Operate company vehicles in a safe manner and maintain a professional appearance
- Validates and approves daily personnel time reports
- Develops, mentors and evaluates technicians and has the overall responsibility for employee engagement and morale.
- Complete JSO’s (Job Safety Observations) of technicians
- Ticket production and weekend work required, as needed.
- Completes other duties, as needed

Qualifications:
**What do you need**
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
- One (1) or more years of experience in leadership or related experience is preferred.
- Six (6) or more months of utility locating experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Suite and Gmail with the ability to learn new systems and software related to the role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals at all levels and areas within the organization
- Ability to be flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment. (shovels, screw drivers, wrenches, and ped keys etc.)
- Ability to carry 3-5 lb electronic locating equipment for extended periods of time; lifting objects up to 50 pounds or lifting in excess of 50 lbs with tool aids.
