Tuxedo Summer Camps is seeking a skilled and motivated individual for WSI position for Summer 2024. We provide an exciting and unique summer experience for campers, ages 4-15 at WeeWah Lake in Tuxedo Park, N.Y.

**Specific Responsibilities Include**:

- Provide daily swim instruction to campers ages 4-14 at various skill levels.
- Complete weekly progress reports for all campers and other required paperwork
- Ensure the safety and well-being of campers with an emphasis on positive behavior and effective group management. Promptly report any concerns to the Site Director.
- Work effectively with Lifeguards and share various responsibilities
- Guard and instruct campers and staff during instructional and free swim periods
- Maintain safe swimming conditions both in the Lake and on the beach area
- Assess camper swim levels based on American Red Cross standards
- Respond to emergency situations effectively and complete incident reports as required

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid WSI certification, along with CPR/First Aid/AED and Waterfront Skills certifications
- Knowledge of American Red Cross instructional swim levels
- Experience working with children ages 4-15
- Previous experience lifeguarding and/or working at summer camp a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and parents

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week

Grade levels:

- Elementary school
- Middle school

Schedule:

- No weekends
