Utopia a fast-growing behavioral health clinic and substance abuse facility in Greenbelt, MD is seeking motivated and passionate counselors who are willing to add their dynamic expertise to our Outpatient Mental Health Centers.

In this role, the Clinician is responsible for assessment of clients including the development, evaluation, and modification of the plan of care. The clinician interprets and performs complex patient care procedures specific to their area of expertise, sets objectives and goals for treatments and develops treatment plans in conjunction with the medical director, implements and monitors treatment plan.

Clinicians provide individual and group treatment, such as psychotherapy, supportive therapy or crisis intervention on a long term or short-term basis. This position consults with family, community and external health agencies to obtain information and to coordinate therapy, and to help clients utilize resources of agencies. Maintains client charts and records, including evaluation, progress notes, individual treatment plan, medication logs, order sheets, and discharged summaries.

**Qualifications**:

- Core skills in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, patient care, patient assessment, HIPAA compliance, medical documentation, and medical terminology.
- Premium skills in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and experience with children.
- Relevant skills in clinical research, art therapy, CPT coding, and working with people with autism.
- Experience in mental health counseling, particularly in outpatient settings, with a focus on patient care.
- Familiarity with medical records, behavioral health, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, as well as provide chronic pain counseling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and their families.
- Certification or licensure in mental health counseling or related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
