The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will evaluate, repair, adjust, and maintain equipment, and rebuild and install as required industrial machines used in manufacturing and production operations. **Must have own tools.**
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensures proper operation of large industrial equipment
- Use hand tools, and power tools, measuring instruments and lifting devices, jacks, hoist
- Ensures machines perform to specifications by conducting tests; modifies and fine tunes machines.
- Disassembles or dismantles machines to perform repairs
- Troubleshoots and repairs machines as required for safe operation.
- Performs preventive maintenance
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to weld a plus
- Electrical Experience a plus
Required Skills/Abilities**:Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment.**
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of safety practices, guidelines & rules
Desired:
- Must have strict safety adherence
- Considerable mechanical aptitude
- Outside conveyor belt maintenance
- Tracking belts
- Belt splicing
- Belt replacement
- Rubber liquid belt patching
- Electric motor troubleshooting
- Roller replacement.
- Ability to operate Man Lifts
- Prior experience at a quarry or automated machinery plant would be helpful.
- Welding / Fabrication, forklift, yellow equipment, air compressor, and/or baler maintenance experience would be an additional plus.
Education and Experience**:Open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED **Two years of experience in an industrial setting preferred, but we can train
**Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing, stretching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling required.**
- **Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.**:
- **Visual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed portions of machinery.**:
- **Manual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust, and relocate machines.**
- **Pay Rate**:_$18 - $25 per hour, dependent upon experience. Starting rate - will receive increase at 90 day review.
Monday thru Friday: 2:00pm -10:30pm
Weekend Work Scheduled around Maintenance Projects
