We are hiring a Consultant, Environmental, Health & Safety in the Walnut Creek area to help our growing local and global clients address a wide array of EHS challenges in the following areas:

- Auditing/Assessments
- Behavior Based Safety
- Biohazards
- Chemical or Lab Safety
- Data Analysis
- Electrical safety and NFPA 70E
- Hazardous Materials and Waste handling
- Industrial Hygiene
- ISO 14001/18001 / 45000, Management Systems
- Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
- Machine Guarding
- Process Hazard Assessments
- Safety Process Improvement
- Stormwater and Wastewater
- And many others

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Help implement innovative EH&S programs and strategies for clients in a variety of industry sectors including technology, manufacturing, oil & gas, and pharmaceuticals.
- Identify and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist with collection, review, and analysis of field data to evaluate conditions, present information, and implement effective solutions
- Support our clients desire to improve safety performance by providing training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments.
- Participate as an enthusiastic team member on various project teams and effectively complete assignments.
- Learn and grow as an EHS professional through frequent internal and external training as well as exposure to interesting projects and advanced customer experiences.
- Spend time onsite with clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area to help solve their most pressing EHS challenges.
- Assist the world’s most innovative companies develop solutions to complex technical and regulatory issues and concerns.
- Develop an understanding of how your work affects our clients’ business objectives and help them achieve these objectives.
- Build client relationships and nurture repeat business by continuously striving to exceed their expectations.
- Begin to build a network within and outside of ERM that will enable you to leverage and develop your skills and help solve challenging multi-disciplinary client challenges.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- BS/MS in Safety, Occupational Health, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related science degree.
- 2+ years relevant experience with exposure to the technology, pharmaceutical/biotech, manufacturing, power, chemical, and oil and gas sectors preferred
- ASP, IH Technician, CHMM, QISP, or similar certification desired.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal EHS regulations.
- Knowledge of data analysis software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting, with guidance and direction.
- Good team player, especially during challenging situations.
- Ethical, responsive, and positive.
- Strong work ethic with a passion to learn, grow, and thrive
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel 50-100% within the SF Bay Area and some occasional travel outside of the local Bay Area.
- For the _Consultant, Environmental Scientist _position, we anticipate the annual base pay of _$65,113 - $78,278 USD_._ An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. _We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above._ This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary based performance bonus._
