Responsibilities:
As a Narrative Director at LightSpeed Studios, your role will be to define and execute the narrative development of a new and exciting game IP. Working closely with the Creative Director and core leadership team you will play a key role in crafting and articulating the game's story, characters, and world, ensuring they resonate deeply with our global audience. This role requires spearheading a global narrative team, particularly focusing on collaboration with development units in China, Singapore, and other countries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the Creative Director to shape the story, including developing and executing the narrative context for all game missions.
- Work alongside the Creative Director and design team to ensure the narrative complements and enhances the game design, and coordinate with the Art Director on narrative aspects of characters and world.
- Build and lead a creative core narrative team. Also, mentor and inspire the broader team, promoting an environment that values creativity, professional growth, and diversity.
- Ensure coherence and continuity of the storyline and scripted events throughout the game.
- Contribute to the narrative writing process and ensure seamless integration of narrative elements into the gameplay.
- Maintain effective communication with the development team and other project stakeholders.
- Develop and write engaging storylines, character biographies, dialogue, and in-game text.

**Requirements**:

- A degree in Creative Writing, Literature, Film, or equivalent.
- Extensive narrative design or writing experience in game production, with at least one AAA shipped project as a Narrative Lead, Lead Writer, or Narrative Director.
- A highly creative mind with a collaborative, empathetic, and innovative approach.

- Experience working with and leading teams from various countries around the world, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
- A strong appreciation for diverse perspectives and the ability to integrate these into the creative process.

The base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $127,780 to $234,430 per year. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
