**Clinical Laboratory Scientist II - South Pasadena**

We are seeking a full-time Clinical Laboratory Scientist II to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role involves preparing specimens for analysis, performing waived, moderate, or high complexity clinical laboratory procedures, and ensuring compliance with written SOPs and regulations from FACT, AABB, ACHI, CAP, FDA, and the Joint Commission. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the education and training of students and staff, and demonstrating growth in the analysis and troubleshooting of testing systems. This position operates under the authorization of the Laboratory Director in accordance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988, CFR Section 493.1445(a). - Maintain knowledge and proficiency in manual, semi-automated, and automated procedures for preparing and processing biological specimens for clinical analyses using universal precautions.
- Perform a variety of complex laboratory tests and procedures according to prescribed protocols, completing them within established turnaround times.
- Review normal and critical results for accuracy and completeness before reporting and notifies the supervisor of unusual results or discrepancies.
- Perform quality control procedures including preventive maintenance, calibrations, and review of controls, supporting Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement processes.
- Utilize standard laboratory equipment, records and checks results for accuracy, and performs data entry of diagnostic information.
- Recognize, troubleshoot, and resolve problems/adverse situations, guiding and assisting others in the resolution of complex technical problems.
- ** Your qualifications should include**:

- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 2 years as a certified or licensed clinical laboratory scientist
- CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist License
