**About the job**

Located in Gardena, we are a manufacturing company recycling carbon fiber for aerospace and other industries.

We are seeking an experienced full charge bookkeeper and office manager to work closely with founders to manage the financial and accounting activities within the organization. The bookkeeper will be responsible for posting accounting transactions, reconciling accounts, financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and all other relevant functions, as assigned.

**Job Summary**

The role includes the following activities:

- Enter transactions into QuickBooks
- Order supplies from various vendors using POs or online orders
- Complete account reconciliations
- Compile various operating and financial statements
- Supervise the maintenance of organization's general ledger.
- Produce cost accounting reports and inventory reports.
- Monitor and pay accounts payable
- Prepare government related reports (e.g. sales and use tax returns, and property tax returns.)
- Create, review, and approve journal entries and adjustments to the general ledger.
- Determine accounting procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
- Ensure reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information for management decisions.
- Sort mail
- Prepare and compile sales forecasts and other budget information.
- Complete monthly and yearly closings.
- Work with internal and external auditors to verify financial reports.
- Conduct special accounting studies and prepare reports as requested.
- Keep up to date on regulations affecting the company's accounting procedures and recordkeeping.
- Provide analysis, management reporting, planning, and accounting support to various managers and key employees.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow, and other financial reports.

**Job Qualifications**
- Degree in Accounting
- Accounting/financial analysis experience within a manufacturing company.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting and finance field, including cost accounting.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
