**Job Summary Statement**:
The Equipment Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities will include overseeing the Equipment Engineering team, Automation team, Facility Engineers and equipment maintenance team. Developing innovative solutions to drive overall operational efficiencies and implementing maintenance procedures while coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless production processes. This role demands a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a commitment to ensuring equipment reliability to meet production targets.

**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of engineers in developing and executing a comprehensive equipment strategy that results in quality products, maximize OEE, meet site ramp requirements, equipment capacity improvements and new technology needs.
- Develop and mentor a comprehensive TPM program, including spare parts.
- Create and execute preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of manufacturing equipment and optimize OEE.
- Drive equipment improvements to meet OEE, cycle time, productivity and quality targets
- Lead and manage the equipment maintenance team, providing mentoring, training, and support to ensure a high level of skill and efficiency.
- Foster a culture of safety, 5S, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Collaborate with the production, and quality departments to understand equipment capability needs and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Drive continual improvement through OEE dashboards, failure analysis and peer engagement.
- Manage overall Capital investment plan for the site, ensuring PMO activities.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project schedules, maintenance activities, and potential impacts on production.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions through structured root cause problem solving, implementing corrective actions to minimize disruptions to production schedules.
- Analyse equipment performance data to identify trends and proactively address potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
- Collaborate with all Operations team through the Waaree LEAN Operations program, ensuring the engineering team is setting the benchmark for Waaree sites.
- Generate regular reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and key performance indicators.
- Recruit lead, train and mentor a team of equipment engineers and technicians that will collaborate and drive operational excellence.

**Minimum Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- 10 years experience in equipment management, in a manufacturing environment, preferably a high automated equipment setting. 5+ years in plant level leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of solar module manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Experience in introducing new products, equipment and processes into a fast paced, highly automated environment.
- Detailed orientated, ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, flexibility to meet tight deadlines with a quality and safety mindset.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in managing and mentoring in a TPM and LEAN environment
- Proficiency in maintenance management software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
