**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English

**Experience**:

- Experience preferred - will train

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday, inclusive of sitting, standing and bending, pushing, pulling or moving of objects.

**PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Receives assignments from supervisor and follows cleaning schedule as outlined for housekeeping department to clean, resident rooms, offices, employee and visitor’s rest rooms, back of the house and common areas.
- Performs well with good cooperation when assigned different daily tasks.
- Cleans, dusts, washes and disinfects all fixtures, floors, walls, ceilings as directed; scours and polishes water fountains, sinks, mirrors, glass panels in doors and partitions, arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion; cleans ledges, shelves, vents, windows, window sills, etc.
- Works well with others in your department.
- Follows SOPs issued by supervisor and/or regional team in performing your duties
- Makes all beds in resident units and changes linens as scheduled.
- Refills and maintains own personnel caddy of cleaning chemicals
- Maintains a clean well organized cart.
- Supply required paper goods to each resident and replenish toilet tissue, facial tissue and soap when needed.
- Empties and cleans ashtrays and wastebaskets.
- Services floors in all resident rooms, baths, lounges, offices and common areas.
- Vacuums carpeting in assigned areas. Maintains vacuum in good working order.
- Cleans bathrooms in assigned area, including sink, bathtub and toilet.
- Refills equipment and dispensers as needed. (Soap, disinfectants, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.)
- Picks up soiled linen from each designated area.
- Prepares residents articles of clothing for washing by unbuttoning, turning pockets out and unrolling sleeves; sorts soiled laundry into appropriate loads for washing.
- Follows standard washing procedures to add all cleaning and chemical solutions as needed.
- Dries linens and resident’s clothing using dryer.
- Folds linen and returns sufficient amount of linen to clean linen area; distributes laundry to appropriate resident.
- Maintains equipment used in performing duties. Operates machines according to SOPs and in accordance with Chemical company recommendations. Cleans washers and dryers, empties dryer lint filters and soap dispensers at end of each shift; brushes spillage from floor into drain.
- Attends and participates in scheduled in service program and staff meetings.
- Maintains equipment used in performing duties.
- Utilizes supplies and equipment properly and without waste and keeps an accurate inventory of all supplies.
- Maintains confidentiality of necessary information Thinks, acts and reacts calmly and logically to meet unusual occurrences of the job without being thrown off stride.
